Help SAVE LONG ISLAND hotel - Rickmansworth's only hotel is in threat of being demolished to be replaced with 65 flats & yellow bricked townhouses. Help save this historic building (been in existence since prior to 1888) and valuable hotel for our community.
An outstanding re-interpretation of a soviet era municipal housing scheme - obviously this design is a complete fit with the Victorian and Arts and Crafts properties within the adjacent conservation area... NOT. It must NOT be allowed.
the most ugly looking prison block... oh sorry i mean flats! do they think the placing of the large bush/tree helps to make it all better and less visible?! if greene king really want to sell, it should be to another hotel chain that could make the long island the nice modern hotel it should be with a little care and attention.... not to developers with no respect for rickmansworth town or the residents living in it. not to mention the loss of jobs to those currently working at the long island now. the council MUST say no!!

Strange! It reminds me of a taller version of Penn Place which they pulled down as an eyesore!
This was drawn by an Artist?
