Famous people at Long Island - Victoria Hotel

Who do you know that is famous and stayed at Long Island/Victoria Hotel?
We know that Sir Arnold Bax use to live at the Victoria Hotel, and Sir Henry Wood was a regular visitor - do you know anyone famous that has stayed at, or visited the hotel... apart from all the lovely residents of Rickmansworth and the business community locally of course!!!

Application for Demolition of Long Island now registered

The application by Keay Homes for the demolition of the only hotel in Rickmansworth has now been registered with Three Rivers District Council.

12/1794/FUL - please quote this reference in all correspondence. You have until 22nd November 2012 to submit.
